The LG LD301EL seems just like any other regular dehumidifier. It has an electronic control with integrated timer, a washable air filter and an adjustable humidistat for setiing desired humidity levels. It also offers 2 fan speeds choices, a bucket that can shut-off automatically when it’s full, and a drain hose connection for continuous use. In other words, it is very effective when running, boasting all the necessary features of a good dehumidifier. The only problem is, it enjoys a relative short life-span. However, according to most reviewers it will work quietly but then die within two years.

The LG LD-159DQV is a new, large-scale dehumidifier, that is capable of removing 27 pints of moisture from your air on a rolling 24 hour basis. Due to its relatively expensive price (less than $900) and strong function-ability, it is more suitable for commercial use, as most home-users do not need such a strong dehumidifier. And it is really new to the market (first presented in 2014).
1) Powerful 27 pint dehumidifier but consumes little energy (energy star CERTIFICATED)
2) Three dry mode choices: speed dry, intensive dry or sanitary dry
3) Easy portability with casters attached
LG Electronics LD451EGL 45-Pint Dehumidifier
The LG LD451EGL dehumidifier is a medium capacity dehumidifier that features a water removal rate of 45 pints per day. However, it’s advised to buy a separate gauge because many users have complained that the humidistat sometimes give false information. Good thing about this unit is its large 21-pint capacity bucket, and easy-to-use electrical control panels with LCD display. Unfortunately like most other units, it tends to fail after 1 to 2 years of use. There are more LG dehumidifier LHD45EL reviews in the comparison chart above.

LG LD651EBL 65 Pint Dehumidifier 710 Watts

It seems to have a good reputation overall, although on Amazon.com you can still find a high proportion of negative reviews (most of which complain about its relatively short life-span and not-so-accurate internal humidistat). However, this LG 65 pint dehumidifier works well while it’s running. It has a large bucket with a full-bucket indicator as well as an auto-off function, it doesn’t produce much noise while running; and doesn’t consume as much energy as some other products.

But compared with the other unit, this model enjoys a higher rate of 4-5 star reviews, even though their feature descriptions are almost same. Finally, for those who are looking for a dehumidifiers for the bedroom/office, this is still not a good choice, because many reviewers have given it a 1-star for its “unbearable loudness”. Perhaps it is more suitable for medium to large sized basement.

3) Works well under low temperature condition
LG LP1411SHR, LG Electronics 14,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner with Heat and Dehumidifier

Its main function is to adjust the room temperature, but it still features quite a high moisture-removal rate of 3.4 pints per hour. It is supposed to cool or heat rooms up to 600 square feet. Pros of this unit include a great outlook and easy-portability, as well as its dehumidification function, which is rarely seen in air-conditioners. However, according to reviewers of this product, it seems to fail in its main function, that is, it doesn’t make your home any cooler or warmer.
